Affiliate Marketing is the
CA$H COW of the new Millenium

Other Affiliate Training sites are trying to shut me down. I give away FREE what they charge you money for. I even use a FREE hosting package from godaddy.com

Q: What is this Affiliate stuff I see on the internet?

A: Also known as Affiliate Sales and Affiliate Marketing, the simplest answer is “freelance commission only advertising”. This means that you post advertisements on search engines (like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.), newpapers, other webpages, etc. These ads can be 3 – 4 lines long or an entire page. If no one buys the product you advertised, you get nothing. When someone does buy the product, you get paid a portion of the sale as an affiliate. You do... No inventory... No drop shipping... No phone calls... No customer support... No refunds or exchanges. The seller of the product does all that work. It is the CASH COW of the new Millenium.

Q: Where or when did the idea of Affiliate Sales start?

A: Some might say that franchises, such as McDonalds, Stanley Steamer, Radio Shack, etc., started it. But I say “NO”. Each franchise has to pay a monthly minimum fee or percentage each month to the home office to use the brand name, supplies, and advertising of that brand name. And you are restricted to certain rules and regulations and all the health codes and blah blah blahs that go along with that franchise. Phooey!

The first instance I every saw of affiliate sales was from Amazon.com in the late 1990's. A friend signed up and started adding links to Amazon.com from his website. I thought he was wasting his time. I was wrong. Amazon.com simply said “if you help direct your readers to our products by placing tiny ads on your webpages, we will pay you a percentage of that sale.” And a new income stream was created. That sounds very familar to the late-night infomercial guy that talked about adding tiny ads in newspapers around the country. And alot of people did that and made alot of money. Some tried... they did it wrong... and lost money. You have to "start with the end in mind." Know your goal and lay out a clear path.

Q: Why are so many people working internet Affiliate Sales?

A: Because it makes money.... fast, easy, low maintenance, very low investment to get started and stress free. And they can do it from the comfort of their own homes. No face to face sales, standing in the freezing rain, or pressure from the boss to produce more and more and more like insurance salesmen, autodealers, manufacturing, cross walk gaurds, and all the others. You do how ever much you want... whenever you want.

Q: How does the affiliate payouts compare to a traditional job?

A: Let me answer that by comparing a traditional job with affiliate sales.

Let's say you are working a job today that pays $200/day. At $200/day for a 5-day work week, that $1000/week. With 52 weeks in a year, that's $52,000/year. That is a fair middle class income. If you are a single male, you would probably be in the 33% tax bracket, so Uncle Sam would take that 33%. And you would take home close to $34,000/year (the remaining 67%).... not to mention the gasoline and car insurance driving to and from the office.

Now let's look at an affiliate marketer making the same $200/day. At $200/day for a 7-day work week, that's $1400/week. With 52 weeks in a year, that's $72,800/year. Those 2 extra days just produced over $20,000/year raise. But I forgot something. A JOB is only 8 hours a day, and the internet in 24 hrs. So that $200/day could be $600/day. But let's consider a moment that your customers also work, eat, sleep, watch TV, etc., throughout the day and you only get a conservative $300/day... that is still $2100/week... which comes to $109,200/year... before taxes. If you are still in the 33% tax bracket, your take-home pay would be close to $72,000/year... no driving to and from the office. Because you did this from anywhere you can get an internet connection.... home, hotel, coffee shop, restaurant, country club, public library, etc. And when you become a proficient affiliate marketer, you will not spend 8 hours/day working. Your ads will spend 24 hours working for you. You spend whatever time each week you want to promote your ads or add new advertisements to your portfolio. You work a couple hours a day monitoring your ads to see if they produce or not. Make more. Delete the bad ones. Revise the bad ones so they are good ones. Take a week or two off and still get paid... because your ads are still running on the internet, making sales for you 24x7, and some affiliate programs offer direct deposit. So you have new cash on hand while on vacation.

Q: Is that ALL they make doing this? What about all the hype of 6 figure incomes?

A: Thank You for the excitement, but Slow Down a moment... That was just a startup estimate compared to a traditional JOB. And by the way... JOB stands for "Just Over Bankrupt". And if you or anyone you know was ever laidoff, you know it is true. The Super Affiliates do make 6 figure incomes. They know the right words to use... where to use them... and how to advertise for free. Yes, I said for FREE!

Q: Won't I be paying more taxes if I make more money?

A: That depends on you and your accountant. In a traditional job, when you get a raise and move into the next tax bracket, your take-home pay may be less than what it was before the raise. Working for yourself, you get all the money before taxes. Get an accountant that does tax preparation and bookkeeping. As a business owner, your taxes are lower than as an employee. If you own a home, your office space is tax deductable. If you rent, your entire rent can be tax deductable. Your internet connection is tax deductable. Your computer is tax deductable. If you have children that can perform tasks for your business (practical for his/her age), then those wages are tax free for the (under 16yo) child and a tax deduction for you. If you use your car for anything related to work, those miles are tax deductable. All these deductions (and more) are what the big business owners use to lower their taxes to that of someone at near poverty lever income. This is a lot of tax mumbo-jumbo best left for your accountant.
But I ask you this.... "so what?" If you are making twice as much as you did after tax, do you really care if you are paying more taxes? Doesn't that mean that the roads and schools in your area are getting funds for improvement? Doesn't it mean you can move to a better home and provide better for your family? Is NOT paying more taxes more important to you than providing more to your family? Of course not! Just get an accountant to reduce your taxes.

Q: Why are taxes for business owners lower that for employees?

A: Because the tax laws are written for business owners. What did you think the American Dream was?

  • Work for minimum wage at the local burger flipper.
  • Get a college degree and slave for the Corporate World to get laid off when their stock prices fall.
  • Mowing lawns for all the apartment complexes in your city.

I do hope you said “NO!” to all those choices. The American Dream is Freedom and Independence. Two BIG words printed throughout the “Declaration of Independence” and “Bill of Rights”. Freedom to Choose what you do, when you do it, where you go, etc. Financial Independence gives you both Freedom and Independence. The only thing that stops you is your choice to do nothing.

Q: How much does it cost to get started as an Affiliate Marketer?

A: Many many many sites that offer an affiliate programs charge you NOTHING, ZERO, ZILTCH to get started. Those are plentiful and the easiest places to get started. Other sites may charge you a fee to determine if you are dedicated to the task. And even fewer will charge nothing, but will only provide affiliate programs to people who can produce high results... and they pay very high too. So your choices are very wide.
Examples:
Some mortgage companies pay pennies per click to draw people to their site.
Some mortgage companies pay only when someone fills out a form.
One mortgage company actually pays as much as $15 when someone clicks their weblink... $30 if the person filled out a form.

How many people do you know would like to get qualified for a mortgage on a new home?
Wait... wrong question... that was just people you know wanting a new home.
How many people are in the USA and CANADA who would like to know if they qualify for a FIRST or SECOND MORTGAGE? Now think of a very large number (in the millions) and multiply by $30... or even just for a 50 cents each.... 1 million people multiplied by 50 cents equals $500,000. And all you did was show them where to see if they can qualify for a loan. Not bad for someone working at from in his underwear for less than 10 hours a week.

Q: I have seen enough. I want to get started. Please tell me where to get started.

A: I thought you would never ask.
The easiest place to start (and free) is Clickbank Sign up for an account there. They do credit card and check processing for thousands of people selling products and information over the web. As a seller through Clickbank, the selller agrees to pay a percentage of the sale both to Clickbank and the affiliates who navigated a buyer to their sales page. 100% of the processing is handled by Clickbank. And Clickbank will send checks to you.
Amazon.com is the other site I mentioned earlier.
StormPay is another site, very similar to ClickBank and Paypal.
StormPay also has online auctions you can promote.

By far, Clickbank is the easiest to get started. In each of these, you can simply post ads on search engine advertising services, such as Google's Adsense or Yahoo Advertising Solutions. Or create your own website and drive traffic to if with free advertisements and bonuses for your readers. The more traffic that comes to your site, the more likely the search engines will move you higher up the list... especially if you include some of their advertisements on your pages... this is called “selling ad space”. And each time someone clicks on an ad on your page that is a paid listing for Google or Yahoo, you get paid a percentage of that pay-per-click paid by the advertisers. See my sample ads at the bottom.

Q: Are there any books to read or step-by-step videos to watch that will get me started on my new venture faster than “trial by error” ?

A: A very wise question. And Absolutely Yes.... there are many sites on the internet that provides all the steps. The Google ads below will show a few.

Get your ClickBank ID and StormPay ID now, then click here. The site talks about “home typists needed”... just a simplified expression for “Internet Marketing Professional”... which you now are !!

This Super Affiliate, Rich Jerk, actually has a gaurantee on his affiliate program. You will see results using his program in less than 60 days or he will refund your money.

One such book is the Super Affiliates Handbook available through ClickBank or on...

Q: Who has the best products? The best pay out to their affiliates? And the most extensive training?

A: There are a multitude of products to choose from and "best" depends of the needs or wants of each individual. And promoting the products is equally individual. Someone who lives in a desert area live Las Vegas or Reno would likely have little need or experience with lawn care. So choose something you can write about with credibility.

The easiest way to get started is by starting a blog. You can go to Blogger.com, create your blog, and start posting short articles about your thoughts or just post something from emails you have received. Blogger also allows you to include the Google Adsense Ad links and Youtube Videos. And yes, you can also add links from Amazon books and Stormpay and Clickbank products.

Q: What is my favorite product?

A: This product is available through clickbank. How to build an engine to convert your gas or diesel vehicle to use water for fuel using jars, baking soda and hoses you can get at Home Depot and the corner grocery store. See for yourself at... Water for Gas
